31 July 1942 - 415 Squadron, RAF North Coates – Handley Page Hampden I – AD762 – W/O B D R McComb RCAF – Duty Convoy protection operation.

Location – 2 miles from North Coates near Donna Nook.

Handley Page Hampden Coastal Command

415 Squadron Handley Page Hampden I returned from a convoy protection duty with engine trouble. The visibility was very poor with thick fog and after several landing attempts the aircraft crashed about two miles away near Donna Nook
