2 June 1917 – RNAS Killingholme – Sopwith Schneider – 3800 – Flight Sub Lieutenant David Alan Duncan – Duty. Unknown

Location – Crashed into the River Humber off RNAS Killingholme

The aircraft spun into the sea and crashed off RNAS Killingholme due to engine failure caused by cracked cylinder head. The pilot drowned

David Duncan was born in Valparaiso, Chile and was educated at Charterhouse, Trinity College, Cambridge, and Sandhurst. He entered the cavalry in 1915, and subsequently joined the RNAS.
