Rotterdam.

F/O Scott and his crew commenced operations with 576 Squadron on the 31st March 1945 and completed 11 before their accident

09/04/1945 – Kiel – NG273 – F/O IL Scott

18/04/1945 – Heligoland – NN806 – F/O IL Scott

22/04/1945 – Bremen – NN806 – F/O IL Scott

25/04/1945 – Berchtesgaden – NN806 – F/O IL Scott

05/05/1945 – Rotterdam – NN806 – F/O IL Scott

07/05/1945 – Rotterdam – NN806 – F/O IL Scott

08/05/1945 – Rotterdam – NN806 – F/O IL Scott – Swung on take off and damaged beyond repair.

As the Lancaster increased speed it started to swing which became violent. It crashed through the FIDO piping onto the grass where the undercarriage collapsed churning up earth and the aircraft slewed round in a cloud of dust. The back of the Lancaster broke near the mid upper turret but there was no fire.

No injuries to the crew were reported
