13 February 1945 – 550 Squadron RAF North Killingholme – Avro Lancaster I – NF932 – F/L Eric  S Allen - Ops Dresden

Location – Stotts Farm, Apley 2 miles south west of Wragby Lincolnshire

Avro Lancaster III LL796 550 Squadron

Took off 2139 13 Feb 1945 from RAF North Killingholme on Operation Thunderclap to Dresden but twenty minute after departure collided with a 300 Sqn Lancaster PA185 from RAF Faldingworth also en-route to Dresden.

P/O John Riley Byrne RAFVR – Wireless Operator – 20 – 550 Sqn - Son of Joseph William and Winifred Helena Byrne, of Bispham, Lancashire – Runnymede Memorial

Sgt Reginald George Crump RAFVR – Air Gunner – 24 – 550 Sqn - Son of Benjamin George and Elizabeth Anne Crump; husband of Doreen Crump, of Ebbw Vale – Ebbw Vale Cemetery Wales
